


Balmertown FSC’s goal is to provide skaters of all ages and skill levels with the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop their skating abilities. We offer a fun and supportive environment for youth skaters of all levels, as well as recreational programs for those looking to build their skills before transitioning into other ice sports.

CANSKATE PROGRAM
Designed for beginners of all ages—CanSkate helps you improve basic skating skills for figure skating, hockey, ringette, or speed skating, while promoting fitness and fun.
ICE TIMES
Thursdays 5:30-6:20pm
Sundays 3:00-3:50pm
STARSKATE PROGRAM
The STAR curriculum is Canada’s premier figure skating program. It lays the groundwork for future champions in singles, pairs, ice dance, and synchronized skating by introducing participants to all the figure skating essentials.
ADULT LEARN TO SKATE
This program is for beginner adults who are wanting learn basic skating skills while promoting fitness and fun!
Program to run October-December 2026. Ages 16+
ICE TIMES
Sundays 3:50-4:20pm
ADULT RECREATION FREESKATE
This program in for adults who have skating experience that are looking to get out on the ice to improve their skills and get some exercise!
**Note this is not a learn to skate program and will be independent practice**
